On the 8th of March 2015, Unibridge International Education and International Overseas Study Salon jointly hosted an American Universities Presidential Visit. The delegation comprised of presidents and interviewers from 15 leading American Universities. This nonprofit educational communication providing an opportunity to communicate face-to-face for parents and students who would like to study abroad or to know more about international education, was held in the conference hall of Crown Plaza Hotel.

During the conference, Mr. Li Jing, the president of Unibridge International Education and initiator of International Overseas Study Salon, shared with parents and students the trend analysis of overseas study, current growth situation of Chinese students abroad, as well as the typical examples of Unibridge students who managed to study abroad. The talk made students and parents have a general understanding on overseas study, and motivated students to accept the international education. Later, fifteen American university representatives introduced their universities' teaching idea, featured majors, internship projects, history, ranking, scholarship application procedure and other detailed contents to the students and their parents. Ms. Ji Ying, the teaching headmistress of Unibridge, made the simultaneous interpretation in the whole process, which helped parents and students get the information they were interested in more correctly and effectively. This event not only made students and their parents know more about American universities, but also brought a kind of collision of thoughts and cultural communication, which made students and their parents get a new perspective on education, and offered a new thought for students' future study. At the end of the event, Unibridge arranged the Q&A session for American universities representatives and parents and students. To make the communication more effective, volunteers that majored in English were arranged for each university.

Parents and students who participated in this conference all responded warmly to this conference. It made them fully mastered the first-hand documents through the intensive communication with 15 presidents of American universities, and intuitively grasp which major interests them most. This will undoubtedly benefit students' future of study abroad. During the conversation, Unibridge students' fluent English was highly appraised by American university representatives.
Parents who attended the conference responded warmly and highly evaluated:

“This is a good opportunity for children to practice communicating with interviewers in English, which must be a great help for children to apply for school in the future. After the conversation, we already had a general understanding of featured majors of each university. Some majors like Medicine, Education, Art and Architecture seem like fairly good choices.”

“I appreciate this event pretty much. It has broaden our horizons that such a great number of presidents and interviewers of American universities come here to give us speech and face-to-face talk. My child is in the 7th grade. Studying abroad seems too early for us, but I do have to say: this event helped us have some knowledge of overseas study beforehand.”

“My child is in the 10th grade, and he's been dreaming of studying abroad. I think this event is of great value, and a great opportunity to learn something new. I got lots of information, not only on school selection but also the philosophy of education.”

Students who attended the conference also benefited a lot from this event. They expressed their feelings actively after the conference:

“I have participated in this kind of events before. But it is the first time that I've made face-to-face conversation with the interviewers. This event which helps me learn much more about overseas study is of great significance to me.”

"This event helps me learn a lot about American schools, which will be definitely helpful for my future. I've already got a plan to study abroad. The schools presented today seem good to me. Interviewers were friendly and told me some study abroad problems I will face in the future. I'd like to participate in more events like this, and learn more about universities abroad. I like to communicate with foreigners, which will also improve my English speaking skills."

"This activity is very helpful for me, because it offers much information about going abroad to study. So I'm very happy to attend this activity. And I hope there're more and more this kind of activities to be held."
